This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Hi there! It's has been a while since we trade messages, even though i come in here fairly often to pick up a new desktop background or to see if you have any new art uploaded. It's good to see you are still creating.
How's the laptop? Any problems? If so, just let your mom know and I'm sure she'll let me know.
Have you finished your college hunting. I would think so, since the deadlines are close or already past. Where are you applying? So far we have gotten into Grinnel (in Iowa) and Indiana (in Indiana of course). We are hoping (I think) for Carelton in Minnesota and Oberlin in (Ohio). I think my son is torn about wanting to move farther out of state and have the comforts of home within striking distance. So, we'll see.
I hope you are enjoying your last winter as a child (in the eyes of the law, if not your own!). I think of you and the other wone who thinks I am strange more often than you would guess. Do stay in touch.
Hello! The laptop is fantastic! I can't seem to install my tablet properly, though. =/ Everything else is pretty great though, I really love it.
I am done looking for colleges basically and am waiting to hear back from Stanford and NYU. I got into Manhattanville, which is pretty cool. I also kind of started considering Morraine Valley for a semester... It's really iffy though. I'll let you know what I decide on, though.
Also, I am definitely enjoying my last winter as a child, as you put it!
I really hope your son gets into the rest of the colleges he's waiting to hear back from and makes the best choice for him as far as distance from you guys goes.
First of all, make sure you open Photoshop using the tablet's pen itself, NOT the mouse. Then double check that you have Pen Pressure ticked in the brush setup panel. Refer back to this tutorial for further help
So moral of the story, start CS4 w/ your tablet and pen and DO NOT!!!! move your mouse for ANY reason unless you feel like restarting CS4. This is a huge issue for me as i usually do several things even while drawing. It seems like such a simple fix, i mean if Photoshop is having issues "remembering" the settings for a device, that would imply it knows them at some point and can identify that single device and associate those settings with it no? Why not then SAVE them even in memory, then when i draw with the mouse it can say, "Oh he's using the mouse, load those settings!" Then when i go back to my stylus, "Oh he's using the stylus load those fantastic pressure sensitivity settings" seems rather intuitive and quite possibly incredibly simple to me. Plus it would be completely transparent to the user which is always great when things magically "just work."
Haha. Yeah, she told me. She wanted to go see you but we had only one car and she didn't want to use my gas. And I think I needed it for something. I'm not sure. I have bad memory.
I talked with your mom briefly today about a teaching job. Hope she has good luck. Almost as important she told me you were not feeling well. I hope it's passed by the time you look back in here and you are bright eyed and smiling again.
